A GREAT TIME TO BE A TATER!

Taters visit Coppercraft Distillery!

"Man, I can't find anything good anymore." It's a phrase we hear all too often in the bourbon world. And by "anything" of course they are referring to the same damn bottles that everyone else is hunting! Taters, Inc. was born from the passion that drives people into the thrill of the hunt, but as an organization, we're about much more than that. One could easily argue that we are the opposite.

There's no denying the joy of scoring a unicorn, but it’s the camaraderie of community that drives Taters. And nothing fractures a community more than thousands of people all hunting for the same few bottles. As an organization, we've had the privilege of picking some of the traditionally popular barrels: Weller, Four Roses and Elijah Craig to name a few. Yet many will argue that the Bonesnapper Rye has been the best of them all.

Our recently released Coppercraft single barrel joins a long list of under the radar bottles. Bottled at 8 years of age and 119.38 proof, this MGP distilled bottle has already formed a fan club that rivals many of our former Taters picks. We're just as proud that this pick was made by our own Tater Alex Moore, offered to our entire Barrel Club and backup list, and sold out the day of our release.

Another lucky Tater may find his or her name behind the next great Taters barrel. This month we've been featuring our latest "Tater Game" on our Facebook group in the form of a #BelmontBlitz campaign. Participants have the opportunity to be selected to help us with our next Taters Barrel Select bottle. Folks in the Facebook group will have seen the "leak" of what that exciting pick will be.

But wait, there's more! If a barrel pick and bottle release are not enough, how about a bourbon tasting event featuring the actual distiller and owner?

Joining Taters in Fort Wayne on May 10th is the founder of Log Still Distillery. J.W. "Wally" Dant will lead us through a tasting of his distillery's offerings including Monk's Road Bourbon, Barrel Aged Gin, and Rattle & Snap Tennessee Whiskey. Additionally, Wally will discuss his family's history with the rise of Kentucky Bourbon and how that role continues to this day.

Of course, no Taters event will be complete without prizes. Not the least of which is yet another opportunity for a Tater to participate in ANOTHER soon to be announced Taters Barrel Select.
